PREMISES
Since the Haven had to leave 7 Koraal Street which was needed by the owners for other purposes, we are now renting 2 Periwinkle Street, Jeffreys Bay. However, we do need to raise funds to purchase dedicated and suitable premises for this safe house and foster home. The cost of this will be around R1.2m. The house needs to have three bedrooms at least and a flat with a further two bedrooms, a nice garden to play in and garage out outbuildings for storage and extra tuition and extra curricular activities.
WENDY HOUSE
We are also fund raising for a large Wendy House to serve as classroom at present, and probably in the future too. This area will also serve for storage. The cost of this is around R16 000.
VEHICLE
To help with getting to schools, clinic and so on expecially when it rains, and to assist in fetching children from school extra curricular activities such as choir, a reliable mini-bus or large station wagon type vehicle is required.
DEDICATED SPONSORSHIP
We would love people to become involved with dedicated regular monthly donations dedicated to a particular area, such as rent (R3000pm) or groceries or nappies (R1000pm), school fees (R460pm), feed one child, electric (R400) and so on. TUITION
Whilst we are very blessed with some volunteers to assist with extra classes (many children missed school before they came to the Haven or were too sickly to attend when found and brought in)there is still a need, for example with English.
FUNDING!!!
Funding is a major concern and business of our Company in order to house, feed, clothe, school, develop, cater for medical needs and care in every way for these needy children. We do obviously have to be careful that any funding is not conditional (though it can be specific in purpose) and is not out of step in any way with our Christian core values. Funding is being sought not only for the large scale requirements of premises, educational needs, rates, lights and water and so on but for all living expenses. Any and all assistance is appreciated, within the above mentioned parameters, and those who are assisting in so many ways presently with baby formula, groceries and other help are profoundly thanked.
